I am so excited to share the August Book with you -- so many of these recipes have become favorites already in my home. This month brought so much magic and learning with the plants. All the recipes are always gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free; every recipe this month is also egg-free or can be made easily with an egg-free option. There are substitutions offered, and I am always happy to talk about food and plants with you!
August begins the turn towards the Fall, and it is the height of harvest season with so many berries, vegetables, and fruits in their fullness. This month the herbs, vegetables and plants are coming to fruition with the heat of the August sun, and the nights are making sugar in the late summer coolness. Yarrow and mullein are in full bloom, along with the flavorful culinary herbs like parsley and basil.
